One platform for advertising intelligence, seller-business context and controlled operations.

Terra PPC brings authorized Amazon advertising data, selected seller-business context and customer-configured economics into one scoped workspace — then routes every recommendation and automated action through the same decision engine, execution planner, guardrails and audit history.

Three input planes. One decision context.

Advertising data and seller-business data arrive through separate authorizations. Customer economics are configured, not collected — COGS is never seller or SP-API data. Terra PPC combines them only inside one scope.

Production availability of cross-source workflows depends on authorized integrations, approved functionality, applicable Amazon permissions, and enabled account scope.

Advertising context from the Amazon Ads API where authorized (campaigns, keywords, search terms, placements, spend, bids, budgets), seller business context from the Selling Partner API where authorized (seller sales, finance, inventory, listings, fulfillment, retail analytics) and customer-configured economics (COGS, freight, duty, packaging, other costs, desired margin) combine into the Terra PPC decision context for one scope, which supports analytics, rules, recommendations, guardrails, audit.

Availability depends on authorized integrations, approved access, enabled functionality, marketplace support, and applicable Amazon requirements.

One route from input to audit.

Every view, rule, recommendation and AI-assisted request travels the same path. Nothing reaches the action layer without passing scope, the decision engine, the execution planner and the guardrails first.

This is a conceptual view of the product architecture. It does not describe internal infrastructure.

Terra PPC platform layers, in order: Authorized inputs, Source-aware data, Normalized, scoped context, Economics engine, Decision context, Decision engine, Execution planner, Guardrails & safety, Manual / Review / Auto, AI / MCP interaction layer, Audit history.

Data sources & provenance

Every important figure carries its source label, the same six labels in the product and on this website: ADS, ADS HOURLY, SELLER, FINANCE, ASSUMPTION and DERIVED. A derived figure names the sources it was calculated from.

No hidden source.

Provenance badges: ADS means advertising data (Amazon Ads API context), for example Ad Spend · Ad-attributed Sales · ACoS inputs; ADS HOURLY means hour-of-day advertising data (Amazon advertising context; a synthetic hourly model in the demo), for example Hourly Ad Spend · hourly orders · budget consumption by hour; SELLER means seller-business data (SP-API context, where authorized), for example Seller Revenue · Seller Orders · Sessions · FBA units; FINANCE means financial events (SP-API finance context, where authorized), for example Amazon Fees · Refunds · Reimbursements · Settlements; ASSUMPTION means customer-configured input, not provided by Amazon, for example COGS · Landed cost · Other costs · Desired margin; DERIVED means calculated by Terra PPC from the values shown, for example TACoS · Modeled Net Result · Modeled Break-even ACoS; ILLUSTRATIVE means synthetic illustration, for example Every synthetic product visual on this website. No hidden source: every figure names where it comes from, and unavailable data is marked unavailable, never zero. Example: TACoS 9.6% equals Ad Spend $2,049.54 from advertising data divided by Seller Gross Revenue $21,430.00 from seller-business data, which makes it a derived figure.

CapabilitiesData Provenance

Unavailable is not zero

When a data source is not authorized or not available, Terra PPC marks the result instead of filling the gap with a zero. A missing input never makes a number look better than it is: without finance data profitability is partial, without seller revenue TACoS is unavailable, and without inventory data the Inventory Guard is not evaluated.

When a data source is unavailable, Terra PPC marks the result instead of treating it as zero. Finance unavailable: Profitability marked partial — Modeled Net Result shows —, never a partial total. Seller revenue unavailable: TACoS unavailable — Shown as —, never as 0%. Inventory unavailable: Inventory Guard not evaluated — Outcome is unknown and does not pass silently.

Normalized context

Data from different product domains stays source-aware, but is normalized into one scoped decision context: the same names, units and period, for one organization, account, advertising profile, seller connection, marketplace and date range at a time.

Conceptual diagram. Advertising (ADS, ADS_HOURLY): Campaigns · targets · search terms · spend · hourly performance. Seller business (SELLER, FINANCE): Sales · finance · inventory · listings · retail analytics. Customer economics (ASSUMPTION): COGS · landed cost · price periods · other costs · margin. The inputs are normalized into one scoped context defined by Organization, Account, Advertising profile, Seller connection, Marketplace, Date range. Values keep their provenance badges and derived values name their sources. Marketplaces are never summed or converted.

Seller business intelligence

Advertising results depend on the business behind them. Where authorized through the Selling Partner API, Terra PPC is designed to use selected seller-business context to explain performance, model profitability and protect advertising decisions.

  • Seller sales and orders
  • Sales & Traffic: sessions, page views, conversion and featured offer rate
  • Finance & settlements: fees, refunds, adjustments, reimbursements
  • FBA inventory states and days of cover
  • Listing and catalog context, with applicable fee estimates for planning
  • Marketplace participation
  • Brand and retail analytics, where available
Illustrative seller-business context with synthetic values: seller revenue $21,430.00 from 682 orders, Amazon fees $3,870.00, 4,820 FBA units, 6 of 8 listings active, and search purchase share. Together they feed Terra PPC business intelligence: modeled net result $6,331.46 and TACoS 9.6%.

Customer economics

Some inputs only the customer knows. COGS, freight, duty, packaging, other variable costs and the desired margin are configured in Terra PPC and labelled as assumptions — they never come from Amazon.

Illustrative product economics with synthetic, customer-configured inputs: COGS 33.6%, Amazon fee estimate 18.0%, other variable costs 5.3% and refund allowance 3.1% leave 40.0% — the modeled break-even ACoS. With a 10.0% desired margin the suggested Target ACoS ceiling is 30.0%. COGS is never provided by Amazon.

Product economics

Customer-configured inputs · per sales dollar
  • Modeled Break-even ACoS: the ACoS at which modeled profit after ads reaches zero
  • A suggested Target ACoS ceiling below break-even, from the desired margin
  • Historical profit uses actual fees and refunds; the model uses estimates for planning
  • Changing an assumption changes rule eligibility — and is recorded like any other change

Economics engine

The economics engine turns customer-configured costs into the thresholds advertising decisions are measured against. Unit costs are versioned by effective date, so a supplier change moves break-even from the day it applies — and history keeps the cost that was true at the time.

Inputs

  • COGS
  • Landed cost
  • Returns
  • Indirect expenses
  • Price history
  • Cost regimes

Outputs

  • Contribution margin
  • Break-even ACoS
  • Break-even CPCPlanned
  • Modeled profit
  • TACoS context
Illustrative workflow with the demo's synthetic values. The landed unit cost of Large Gift Box rises from $12.44 to $13.93 (customer-configured), so its COGS share of the $36.99 price rises from 33.6% to 37.7%. The modeled break-even ACoS of SP | Discovery — Auto falls from 42.0% to 39.1%, below its current 41.8% ACoS, so the profitability state changes from Above Target ACoS to Above break-even. The Cost Increase Guard holds a budget increase from $50.00 to $57.50 per day, a review item "Review the cost increase on DEMO-LG-001" waits in Business reviews, and every step is recorded in the audit log.

Decision context

The decision context assembles the eligible, scoped data a rule, a user or an AI-assisted request needs for the current operation — and nothing more. It answers one question: what information is available?

Advertising metrics
Spend, sales, ACoS, ROAS, CPC and conversion for the entity and period
Seller context
Sales and traffic, where authorized
Economics
COGS, modeled margin and break-even thresholds
Inventory
Days of cover for the advertised products
Listings
Listing status of the advertised products
Finance
Fees and refunds for historical profit
Scope

Decision engine

Terra PPC evaluates scoped performance, business context, economics, rules, strategies, and data readiness before producing a recommendation or eligible operational proposal. The evaluation is deterministic: the same inputs give the same result, and every result keeps its reason.

Decision engine — what should be considered or proposed?

Execution planner — can it proceed safely, and in what order?

Conceptual flow of the decision engine: Normalized, scoped context, then Metric evaluation, then Rule evaluation, then Strategy evaluation, then Profitability evaluation, then Data readiness & eligibility, then Proposal, then Execution Planner. Decision context answers what information is available; the decision engine answers what should be considered or proposed; the execution planner answers whether it can proceed safely, in what order and under which mode.

Rules & strategies

Rules are specific, deterministic conditions and actions. Strategies group coordinated rules with policy defaults — how cautious to be, which mode to start in — and are assigned per campaign. Publishing a strategy records a version, so an earlier one can be restored without rewriting history.

Illustrative strategies from the demo: Profit Protection (default mode Review): Cuts waste and protects margin; never scales. Balanced Growth (default mode Review): Protects profit and scales efficient winners, with harvesting and negatives. Discovery (default mode Review): Finds and harvests converting search terms while negating waste. Scale Winners (default mode Auto): Raises bids and budgets on efficient targets, with Profit Guard as the brake. Inventory Protection (default mode Review): Protects profit and budget without scaling until inventory recovers. Brand Defense (default mode Auto): Keeps branded terms and own listings covered. Rule presets: Profit Guard, Balanced Growth, Discovery, Scale Winners, Custom. Publishing a strategy records a version; restoring an earlier version records a new one.

Automation

Automation turns analysis into action without hiding the logic. Each rule has conditions, an action, guardrails and a mode. Where seller context and customer economics are available, business-aware guards check inventory, listing status, cost changes and modeled break-even before a scale action continues.

  • Conditions on metrics, minimum data thresholds and lookback windows
  • Bid, budget, status, negative-targeting, search-term, placement and hourly workflows
  • Guardrails: bid floors and ceilings, change caps, cooldowns and action limits
  • Business-aware guards: Inventory, Listing, Cost Increase, Break-even and Financial Margin
  • Manual, Review or Auto mode, chosen per campaign
Illustrative guard check with the demo's synthetic values. Proposed scale action: SP | Discovery — Auto budget $50.00 to $57.50 per day. Inventory Guard: pass. Listing Guard: pass. Margin safety: the Cost Increase Guard holds the increase because the unit cost rose 16.2% within 30 days and the ACoS of 41.8% is above the new 39.1% modeled break-even. Final result: the scale action is held and a cost review is queued. Nothing is paused.

Execution planner

Every automation cycle follows one canonical order of 18 steps. Scope and data readiness come first, safety next, then the proposals in a fixed stage order, the conflict resolver and the global guardrails — and only then the campaign's mode, the action and the audit record. Each candidate ends at exactly one step, with its reason.

Illustrative Execution Planner with the demo's order of one automation cycle: 1. Scope validation, 2. Data access, 3. Data readiness, 4. Entity status, 5. Circuit breaker & emergency controls, 6. Inventory safety, 7. Listing safety, 8. Margin safety, 9. Placement, 10. Base bid, 11. Budget, 12. Hourly / daypart, 13. Harvest / negative, 14. Conflict resolver, 15. Global guardrails, 16. Manual / Review / Auto, 17. Action, 18. Audit. Dry run of the next cycle in the demo: 48 candidates, of which 18 auto changes, 12 recommendations, 4 manual · no action, 10 skipped by a safeguard, 1 lost a conflict, 3 data not ready.

Conflict resolution

Several eligible actions can compete for the same entity in one cycle, and a rule can meet a guard. Terra PPC resolves both deterministically: one proposal per entity survives, a guard can hold a scale action, and every suppressed action is recorded with its reason.

Illustrative conflict resolution with the demo's synthetic values. Rule against rule: on terra home boxes (exact) in SP | Brand Defense — Exact, Profit Guard (priority 65) proposes a bid of $0.59 and Scale Efficient Winners (priority 55) proposes $0.66; both are bid actions, so the higher priority wins and the other proposal is recorded as a lost conflict. Rule against guard: Budget Scale on High Efficiency proposes a budget increase for SP | Black Gift Boxes — Exact from $80 to $92 per day, but the Inventory Guard holds it because Black Gift Boxes has 3.1 days of cover, below the 5-day minimum. Precedence when actions differ: Pause, then Negative, then Bid, then Budget, then Informational. Execution order of Auto changes: Safety pause, Placement, Base bid, Budget, Hourly / daypart, Harvest / negative.

Guardrails & safety

Automation is never unlimited. Limits apply per change, per campaign and per cycle, and the whole account can be stopped at once.

Global guardrails
Bid floors and ceilings, change caps and action limits for every automatic change.
Circuit breakers
Automatic execution stops when a cycle would exceed action, spend, budget, conflict or failure limits.
Data readiness
Stale or unavailable data stops a proposal instead of being read as zero.
Cooldowns
An entity changed recently waits before it can change again.
Action caps
A limit on automatic actions per campaign and per cycle.
Spend exposure limits
The share of spend and budget one cycle may move.
Undo / revert
Applied changes keep their previous value; the last automation cycle can be reverted.
Illustrative safety controls with the demo's default values. The circuit breaker watches 9 conditions: Auto actions in one cycle, Spend one cycle could move, Budget moved in one cycle, Data freshness, Scope consistency, Advertising data access, Spend anomaly, Conflicts in one cycle, Execution failures in one cycle. Default limits per cycle: Auto actions in one cycle 25, Spend one cycle could move 40%, Budget moved in one cycle 40%, Conflicts in one cycle 12, Execution failures in one cycle 3, Spend anomaly +250%; a warning appears at 80% of a limit. When it trips, nothing applies automatically: Auto actions go to review until a person resets it. Emergency controls: Pause all automation, Disable bid increases, Disable budget increases, Disable placement increases. Global guardrails: bid change up to 20%, budget change up to 25%, 10 actions per campaign per cycle. The last automation cycle can be reverted once.

Manual / Review / Auto

The customer decides how much control to delegate, per campaign. The checks before the mode never change.

Manual
Direct control. Automation can be previewed, but people make the changes.
Review
Recommendations are created and wait for approval before anything is applied.
Auto
Eligible actions execute after policy and guardrail evaluation, and are recorded.

Every mode stays subject to scope, permissions, guardrails and the audit log.

AI & MCP

Terra PPC AI/MCP lets compatible AI clients ask questions and prepare work in natural language. It is an interaction layer on top of the same controls — not a shortcut around them.

  • Authentication and authorization on every request
  • Scoped decision context only — no unrestricted database access
  • Proposals pass the same decision engine, execution planner and guardrails
  • Recommendations and actions still follow Manual, Review or Auto

Auditability

Terra PPC is designed to record important recommendations, automation actions and operational changes with the fields needed to explain them later: what changed, the before and after values, the rule and rationale, the source, the mode, the guardrails, the time and whether the change can be reversed.

No black box

Automation should remain inspectable. Every important action exposes:

  • What
  • Why
  • Data used
  • Scope
  • Rule
  • Strategy
  • Guardrail
  • Mode
  • Before
  • After
  • Audit status

Multi-account scope

Agencies and multi-brand teams work across many accounts and marketplaces. Terra PPC is designed to keep every view, rule and action attached to one organization, authorized account, advertising profile, seller connection and marketplace at a time.

Scope hierarchy: an organization contains Authorized Account A, with a US advertising profile, a US seller connection and the US marketplace, and Authorized Account B, with a CA advertising profile, a CA seller connection and the CA marketplace. The selected context is Account A, US. A request for Account B from that context is out of scope and is not executed.
  • Logical isolation between customer organizations
  • Scope validation before a rule runs or an action is applied
  • Marketplace-level reporting, each marketplace in its own currency

Authorization & data lifecycle

Advertising and seller-business connections are separate authorizations with separate scopes, each revocable on its own. Authorized access, least privilege, account isolation, data minimization, secure transport and traceability are part of the platform design. Data that is no longer needed for enabled functionality is designed to be deleted, and customers can request deletion of their account data.

Conceptual data lifecycle: Authorize: The customer grants advertising and seller authorization on Amazon — separately. Use: Only the fields enabled functionality needs, inside the authorized scope. Retain: Kept only as long as enabled functionality and the customer relationship need it. Revoke: Either authorization can be revoked on its own. Delete: A deletion request is verified and scoped, then eligible data is deleted or de-identified. Limited retention: Only records required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or dispute obligations. Revoking advertising authorization stops new advertising data; revoking seller authorization stops new seller-business data; a deletion request is a separate process.
