Interactive demo with synthetic data. This environment demonstrates Terra PPC workflows using synthetic advertising, seller-business, financial and economics data. Actions remain inside this demo and are not sent to Amazon or any external advertising or selling account.
Cost Layers (FIFO)
Purchase layers of FIFO and weighted-average products: what each receipt cost, how much of it sold in the 30-day window, and what is still on hand.
All information shown in this module is synthetic demo data and does not represent a live Amazon selling account.

Remaining = quantity − units sold before the window − written off − consumed in the window. A layer received after the latest full day is on the way and is not sold from yet. New layers are added on COGS (Add Cost Version with a receipt date and quantity); simulated replenishment orders add layers at the latest purchase cost.

How purchase layers are consumed
This product: FIFOFIFO — oldest layer first
Each day’s units sell from the oldest received layer that still holds stock. When it runs out during the day, the rest of the day’s units sell from the next layer, so one day can carry two costs. The cost of the next unit is the cost of the layer selling now: a newer, more expensive layer reaches break-even only after the older layers have sold.
Weighted average — every received layer in proportion
Each day’s units are drawn from all received layers in proportion to the units they hold, so the unit cost is the average of the stock on hand. It changes only when a layer is received, and a new layer moves the average by its share of the stock.
Receipts and method switches
A layer dated after the latest full day is on the way: nothing sells from it until its receipt date has passed in the demo clock. FIFO and weighted average switch between each other on COGS; the layers stay the same and the window’s COGS is recalculated from them.
