Simulation

Interactive demo with synthetic data. This environment demonstrates Terra PPC workflows using synthetic advertising, seller-business, financial and economics data. Actions remain inside this demo and are not sent to Amazon or any external advertising or selling account.

Period Comparison

The same metrics for two back-to-back periods of equal length, and what drove the change.

Terra Home & Packaging / USSep 11–Sep 24 vs Aug 28–Sep 10

All information shown in this module is synthetic demo data and does not represent a live Amazon selling account.

The last 7 days of the current period are still inside the 7-day attribution window. Ad-attributed sales and orders credited to those days are incomplete until the window passes, so the current period can still improve. Amazon also restates conversions 1, 7 and 28 days after they happen, and clicks and spend can shift slightly for about 3 days.

Rates change in points; Change % is the relative change of the value itself, rates included (ACoS from 20% to 18% is −2.00 pts and −10.0%). A — means the value or its change is not computable (for example ACoS with no attributed sales, or a change from 0), never zero.

Why ACoS changed

ACoS fell from 23.55% to 18.84% (−4.71 pts). Conversion rate explains the largest part: −3.14 pts.

  • Cost per click

    $0.97 → $0.95 (−1.8%)

    −0.39 pts lowered ACoS

  • Conversion rate

    14.21% → 16.49% (+16.0%)

    −3.14 pts lowered ACoS

  • Average order value

    $28.93 → $30.59 (+5.7%)

    −1.18 pts lowered ACoS

Bars to the right raised ACoS; bars to the left lowered it. The three effects add up to the ACoS change.

How the comparison works

  • Both periods come from the same synthetic daily series as every other page, so the current period matches the 14-day figures elsewhere. The demo keeps 30 days of history, so it compares up to 15 days against the 15 before them. Amazon Ads keeps search term reports for 65 days and campaign reports for 95 days, and the Sales and Traffic report reaches back two years, so a production system stores daily reports (and re-pulls days Amazon restates) to compare longer periods.
  • ACoS equals cost per click ÷ (conversion rate × average order value), so its change splits exactly into those three effects (logarithmic mean decomposition).
  • Seller-business rows need the Seller Sales scope; profitability rows are modeled from the configured product economics, not accounting profit.
